Got love?—Romance inside the throne

As resilient fans of Game of Thrones, we have all witnessed the romance some characters have for their love-interests. Now Game of Thrones is most certainly not a romcom but it does deserve some credit when it comes to introducing steamy love affairs packed with passion, fueled by hormones. There is far more death & carnage in this brilliant show than there is room for love, and sadly when it does exist, it comes at a cost…

Our friends over at the ‘Winter is coming’ blog have compiled a list of the top twelve couples of Game of Thrones who have loved & lost. And at the bottom of the list who we all despise(at least I do):

12) Ramsay and Myranda

Both Ramday Bolton and the kennel master’s daughter Myranda were brought together not because they like long walks on the beach, or there love of dogs, but were instead brought together by there deep seeded love of hunting down women in the woods and killing them. As Dan from the WIC blog says “It’s like if Ted Bundy and Aileen Wuornos found each other and decided to settle down.”

Despite how toxic they are as humans, there is something heart whelming about them when seen in their intimate moments. In season 5 of the episode “Kill the boy”, before Sansa and Ramsay’s wedding, Myranda is concerned that Ramsay is attracted to the young Stark. Ramsay assures her that she has nothing to worry about and then they end up having kinky sex.

Cast of Game of Thrones season 7

HBO’s hit drama series Game of Thrones will soon return to our screen in the upcoming months, and season 7 will be the beginning of the end to the critically acclaimed tv series.

The main cast for season 7 will consist of Kit Harington portrayed as Jon Snow, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays Jamie Lannister, Lena Headey who portrays Jamie’s “beloved” sister Cersei Lannister, my girl Emilia Clarke returns as Daenerys Targaryen aka “The mother of Dragons”. Melisandre, Davos Seaworth and Petyr Baelish will also be a few of those returning to the mix. Game of Thrones is very well known for its notable cast of actors and actresses, however after the past few season, the cast size has taken a hit. George R.R. Martin’s beloved storyline killed a few of my favorite characters, one being Ygritt; Jon Snow’s love interest. But alas there love was never meant to be… Anyways as I was saying, the show’s leading cast members have all signed on for season 7 of Game of Thrones and it is reported that they will make upwards of a million dollars per episode. However like each of you may know now, that does not mean that they could make it to the end of the season. A couple years back in 2014, Natalie Dormer who was cast as Margaery, also signed on for Game of Thrones season 7 but we all know how that turned out. It just goes to show that casting is no guarantee that they will make it out alive. I just hope G.R.R.M. doesn’t kill off Samwell Tarly; he is too innocent for this world.

Season 7 sneak peek

Game of Thrones season 7 early access

The seventh season of Game of Thrones doesn’t start until this summer but Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark is already giving out some juicy details about this upcoming season. On the Radio 1 Breakfast show radio station, the star actress asks “Am I going to die? Just give me a little bit of warning”. We are all aware of how GRRM loves to kill off our favorite characters but the young actress’s dark humor seems almost ominous of what could potentially happen. She didn’t voyage into more details and decided to keep things vague but she couldn’t stop raving about the season finale, “I make educated guesses and we try and get answers and bits of information from the writers, but they keep it close to their chest. It’s so exciting…it’s just a great finale, it makes me excited for the series after”.

With Game of Thrones working itself to a close, we will most likely see plenty of old faces who made brief appearances in earlier seasons. What we know for certain though is that we won’t be seeing any appearances by Margaery Tyrell or Ramsay Bolton, seeing as they’re dead… And as much as I wish Robb or Catelyn Stark would be brought back to life by the evil red woman, I highly doubt that will happen, since it’s impossible. However according to the resume of actor David Bradley who played Walder Frey, he will be making an appearance in season 7 of Game of Thrones despite being killed off at the hands of Maisie Williams(Arya)  atop the ‘Twins’ castle during the last episode of season 6. Also considering the fact that Arya now uses her Faceless tactics to commit vengeance upon those who have wronged her, I’m sure Arya is going to continue to put those skills to good use.

A few other less-known characters who will be making a return to season 7 include Bella Ramsay played by Lyanna Mormont, Qhono (Staz Nair), and Lord Robett Glover played by Tim McInnerny.

Game of Thrones gossip!

Game of Thrones season 7 is close to it’s final stages of production and soon we will be able to enjoy the upcoming season in its intended glory. With that in mind, a few leaked pictures of concept art has been made
public to keep our interests peaked. Season 6 of Game of Thrones finished in the early month of July 2016, and we as viewers have to keep busy until season 7 airs. Its been rumored that season 7 of Game of Thrones will air in late June of 2017. Now this is only a rumor, but if memory serves me right with production ending this month(February), allowing four months to air the premiere of season 7 is relatively normal.
Now lets talk season 7! With the latest leak of concept art leaked on Reddit, we get a sneak peak into the mind of George R. R. Martin. These leaked pictures give credence to the earlier stated rumors some fans have been thinking which describes how the major characters will meet up in the Dragonpit of King’s Landing. The pictures up above shows Tyrion, Bronn, a Lannister guard, and a shadowy figure who we presume to be Jon Snow! The second picture below also uploaded to reddit, confirms the location. Earlier suspicion suggests that Daenerys Targaryen and Ser Davos will also be traveling to Dragonpit.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will consist of seven episodes and because “winter is coming”, we will sadly have to wait longer than expected for it, but it’ll all be worth it. Production of season 7 takes place in Iceland and Belfast Ireland. These two countries will be the backdrop of both beautiful scenery for the new season and bloody, gory battle scenes. The question still stands though, which main character/s are going to die in their pursuit to take the throne?
